Taylor’s Cantil, a pit viper related to copperheads and water moccasins. Very lethal. Looks like he’s just shed skin. Found only in northeastern Mexico.

    “Taylor’s Cantil” not “Cantilever”. You had me wading through pages of engineering stuff trying to find out more about this beastie. “The common name, “cantil”, is based on the Tzeltal word kantiil “yellow lips”. Thank you Wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Agkistrodon_bilineatus
