Got this email with old photos from Claudia Smigelski today, it referred to the camper, which was for sale for $1525 on eBay in 2011 (in LA, of course) — which I had posted on my blog.

I’m unsure if your the same Lloyd with the 1956 Cadillac camper, but if you are thanks for posting the photo! It reminds me of one I bought many moons ago in Arizona and brought to NY.
Wish I still had it! What happened to the 1956 Cadillac Camper?

Long Beach Ca. had a Caddy Camper in the 70’s

So nice to see my message got through @ my 1954 Caddy/ camper !….was the response above from…Lloyd? If so thanks! If another, thanks too ! That wood structure is awesome ! Makes fixing my log home look like kids play ! Any idea where that 1956 camper is now ? I don’t know where my 1954 Cadillac/camper is…sold @1984 @ Buffalo,NY…in my dreams I have two of the same vehicles and I can’t find where either one is ! True nightmare ! Love to have one like that again. If you ever see one for sale please let me know if you can…but from the looks of the blog I’d say your busier than ever ! Keep up the good work and stay safe ! PS. While driving slowly on that busy thruway in L A, in the summer of 1978, my girlfriend and I thought we needed a new transmission ….then we realized we were driving with the parking brake on ! 😆
