Hi Lloyd,
I was out walking this morning along our local canal in Wiltshire UK and had to send you these of tiny homes working as they should! 🤟
Unknown boaters keeping warm and cosy on a –3 degrees C (27 degrees F) day. Canal frozen solid as well.
Cheers, Dean Mawdsley, UK

I couldn’t tell you the year but there was a couple in an Smithsonian magazine article, a married police officer couple who were liveaboards on their boat somewhere on the Great Lakes. They had shrink wrapped their boat over a self built rib cage of PVC pipe and covered it with just regular polyethylene plastic and the used propane torches to shrink the plastic. I couldn’t tell you the year of the publication. I had saved the magazine for a number of years but somehow lost it. 😕
Fortunately these narrowboats predominately have steel hulls. I watch a great deal of the very popular Cruising the Cut on You Tube. David Johns the owner of the YouTube channel has also produced videos about narrowboats for Prime TV. A pleasure to watch.
