Lloyd Kahn started building his own home in the early '60s and went on to publish books showing homeowners how they could build their own homes with their own hands. He got his start in publishing by working as the shelter editor of the Whole Earth Catalog with Stewart Brand in the late '60s. He has since authored six highly-graphic books on homemade building, all of which are interrelated. The books, "The Shelter Library Of Building Books," include Shelter, Shelter II (1978), Home Work (2004), Builders of the Pacific Coast (2008), Tiny Homes (2012), and Tiny Homes on the Move (2014). Lloyd operates from Northern California studio built of recycled lumber, set in the midst of a vegetable garden, and hooked into the world via five Mac computers.   3. too bad canadas electric bike laws are arbitrary and arhcaiac. 4 wheels is clearly safer for stability, but that alone makes this illegal. I won’t go into other numerous issues for various cities. if you call your provincial gov, they will pass the buck to the local municipalities gov. if you contact them they will direct you to the federal gov, if you contact them they will direct you to the provincial gov. you have to follow 3 sets of laws, which in the end, make this vehcile pointless. why limit it to 3 wheels? why limit it to 500w, why limit the size and thickness of the wheel? why cant you rid eit on the streets, why cant you rid eit on the side walks? why does the motor need to have separate shut off, why does the motor have to stop when applying pedal force, why MUST it have handle bars instead of a circular steering wheel? why cnat it go faster than 35km regardless if not using electric, why cant i use electric for only getting past 35km/h?why why why..
    no reason, we just picked some random shit that we thought would prevent people from buying these because the big oil is what we know.
    its sad because i would buy one of these things if it met my personal needs, which is to say, covered undercarriage for snow/salt protection, 4 heels for stability, easy to get in and out of, steering wheel, legal on both sidewalks and roads (on curb side), heated for winter, cooled for summer, space for a couple days’ worth of groceries.
    i like the concept of government, i hate the reality of it. we need politicians that know how to govern and use their heads, not pass the buck and condescend you.
